Last allotment in first round for BDS in Self financing Colleges went to Rank 2141 in SM category. There can be some changes in the next rounds. Wait and see.

Our Education Minister Announced during the publication of rank list of KEAM 2009 that within a week the entrance reforms would be announced. As usual he did not keep his words. Any information regarding that?

sir i got management seat for CE in college of eng and management Punnapra, Alappuzha which was my 12th option and my higher option includes only govt seats in govt aided college and govt colleges is there any chance for me to get that colleges my rank is 13259.moreover how is the above mentioned college and is there any hostel facility for girl students

You have to go through the last ranks of first allotment given at http://www.cee.kerala.gov.in/capresult2009/main/lastrankdetail.pdf If your rank is very close to the last rank of the options you have given, you have a chance as there would be some changes in the next allotments. It depends anyway on your higher options. The college was started in 2008. So you may have to contact the college authorities to ascertain the hostel facilities which may be arranged by the authorities. You may visit the college and get a first hand information on these things.

Suppose you have received an allotment in the first round, which was your 10th option out of 50 registered. Then the options at position 1 to 9 are your higher options. You will be given a chance to delete all these options/delete some of the options among the 9 in which you are not interested further /change the priority of the remaining options etc., within a speicified period which will be notified by the CEE. After this period, the facility will not be available. Now, this facility is not activated. It will be activated ina few days. So you can do these activities only when it is activated. Once this facility is withdrawn, the options remaining in your home page will be considered for the next round of allotment. If you get a change then, you are bound to accept it. The first allotment cannot be retained. If you do not accept the change, you will lose the allotment and will be out of the process.

Last ranks of first allotment of 2008 are given at http://www.cee-kerala.org/engmed/2008/allt/170708/lrank.pdf You cannot add options that were available for registration in the first round, now.

My rank is 3209...............
I want to know whether i would get admission in SCT for EC, ME in the 2nd allotment......
I got allotment for EC in UCK.......and also wants to know whether UCK is good or not......

Last rank for EC at SCT under SM is 2785 and that for ME is 2660. There will be changes in round 2. The extent cannot be predicted. Be optimistic. Candidates with rank up to 4367 have got allotment for EC at UCK under SM in round 1. Among the 22 SF colleges under Govt Control, student preference for the college in terms of last ranks is 5th for EC. So you can assess whther the college is one in demand or not.
My sister got allottment in Computer science and Engg in TEC Kollam in KEAM 2009. How is the college? What is the scope of getting a job after B Tech in Comp Sc?

Please go through the last ranks of first round to know the student preference for the college. One cannot say about the chances of jobs four years from now. But one thing, Computers and its applications is something that is part of day to day life and it will continue in future alos. So always there would be need for computer engineers. Complete the course well.
KEAM 2009 first allotment got my daughter in a private self financing college for CS branch, fee Rs.35,000/-
but she preferred to study CE in the same college and given option No.1 but her rank is not suitable for this branch that is why she alloted option No.2 for CS. Is it possible to get chance her for 2nd allotment in the same college or CE?

I am waiting our answer please.

Changes in next round depends on the number of candidates ahead of the child in rank who havge registered options for the same course in the same college. and also the vacancies going to be generated for that combination in the next round. If you go through the last ranks details, you may be able to identify the chances. If the rank of the last allotment for CE in the said college and the rank of your child are close, there would be a good chance for change.
