As per information given at http://cusat.ac.in/phase_IV.php all candidates having CAT rank above 6000 can attend the 4th Phase counselling.

my engg rank is 3676.do i stand a chance for getting civil engineering seat@tkm kollam in the third allotment.wen will be the third allotment.are there any vacant seats for the same there?

Last rank at TKM under SM for CE in round 2 was 2980. Your chances of a re-allotment will depend on a number of factors like options to this combination of candidates ahead of you in rank, the vacancies arising for the next allotment etc. Nothing can be said. Be optimistic. There will be a third allotment. Vacancy position is not published officially.

Electrical and Electronics Engineering is the branch which deals with production, distribution, maintenance of power. This includes the study of machines and components involved in the above. Electrical machines are controlled and monitored by electronic devices. So this branch includes topics in electronics also.Job prospects are mostly in the State Electricity Boards, private power supply companies, and electrical machine-manufacturing units. These days jobs are available in the IT sector also. You can also go to the teaching and Research side.

i didnt get allotment in 2nd allotment(med). i have given self financing colleges for 2nd allotment.is there a need of deleting them for 3rd allotment?

If you are not interested in Self financing allotments in the coming rounds, you may delete them. If not, do not delete them.

I am a civil engg II year student from TKMCE. I have heard that the infrastructure developmental sector always booms in the recession time...so this time should be very positive for the civil engg professionals...but it is heard that the recession has affected this sector too......but i could see a great demand for the civil engg in KEAM 2008 n 2009.....why is it so? or whether there are thousands of doors of oppurtunities open before civil enggineering students in this recession time also???

There is some impact of recession in all fileds where investments are there. The impact it has created in the Ciivl filed is comparatively low when compared to the IT and related fields. That is all. Constructions have reduced to some extent. But you cannot have a scenario without any civil works. So people see it as a safer option as compared to IT and related filelds. Getting a job fast was another attraction with the IT and related fields which has also been affected by recession. Jobs in the Ciivl field has not come down as compared to those in the IT field.
Is there any possiblity for jobs if I take engineering in IT?now i am doing BSc physics.which is better continuing BSc or doing engineering in Information technology?

Nobody can predict the jobs in any field. The B.Sc course you are doing now is a good option from where you can turn to the IT related jobs also. But then if you want to be an Engineering Graduate you have to go for B.Tech.

Third allotment will be based on the options left after the second allotment after giving the candidates an opportunity to rearrange them and delete the options they are not interested further and also considering the vacancies after the second allotment and admissions.

Last rank under SM at KTE in round 2 was 1811. Since your rank is close to this there seems to be some chance. Be optimistic. There is no guarantee however. The dates for the next allotment has not been announced so far.
