sir,i am a 2nd year btech student(CS under CUSAT).actually i am so interested in medical profession.i wrote medical entrance 3 times.last two times i got ranks 3927 and 3553.since i am a general candidate these ranks are not sufficient for mbbs or bds admission.so i wish to write kerala entrance next year also.
But at this stage i am in great deal of confusion because i am not able to concentrate completely either on btech or entrance studies.Which one i should concentrate more?Please give me a proper guidance sir.
Is there a chance for date clash between kerala med ent(2010) and 4th semester CUSAT btech exam(2006 scheme)?
Will there be any weightage for +2 marks in 2010 entrance?
sir if incase i am selected for mbbs this time can i complete my btech privately(since during next's year admission time i will be in 5th semester)?
sir will it be a wise decision if i choose mbbs over btech after finishing 2 years?
Please give a proper solution sir.

At the outset it does not sound to be a wise decision to switch over to medicine at this stage when you are almost 2 years into engg. THis is mainly because there is no assurance that you will get a rank high enough to get MBBS seat and the efffort for that would be at the expenses of your B.Tech course. So you may fall in no mans land loosing the trend gained in B.Tech and also not landing up with the MBBS seat. In another 2 to 2 1/2 years you can complete B.Tech and go for higher studies or try for a placement. Once you join MBBS you need another 5 1/2 years to complete it after which you may try for a PG and then a Super Speciality whih all together may take another 5 to 6 years. So you may need another 11 years to establish yourself. So think twice before taking a decision. The possibility of a clash of Entrance with Sem exam cannot be ruled out. Regarding weightage for +2 marks for Entrance, there is no decision so far. Good luck!

The normal course one looks for after SSLC is the Plus Two course. The other options available include Polytechnic courses. You can also turn to CA/ICWA/CS courses along with the Plus Two course. In the medical side too there are Diploma courses available after Class X.
I am preparing for sbi clerical test.I do have no information regarding its evaluation system.i want to know whether number of negative marks adversely affect the rank position even if high marks is scored.what needs more care?making less negative answers or answering more?

If there are negative marks there has to be a compromise between the number of questions answered and possible wrong answers. It depends on the negative mark for the question. For example, if a correct answer fetches 3 marks and a wrong answer results in a loss of 1 mark, answering 30 questions correctly and 10 wrongly out of 40 attempted, will result in 90-10=80 marks. But if you had answered only 30 questions and all correctly, you would be getting 90 marks. This 10 marks will boost your rank position. So it is not the number of questions answered that matter, but the number of correctly answered questions that matter. So you must concentrate on making less mistakes in answered questions.

The Notification for Inter University transfer is given out by the various Universities around May/June every year and is for 3rd Sem students who have completed the Sem1 and 2. It depends on the vacancies exisitng. Usually one can apply for a change only to identical category of colleges. For details, you have to contact the academic section of the University to which transfer is sought.
i just want to know about the changes in the engg entrance exams to be held in 2010

AS of now, there is no change in pattern announced for 2010 KEAM examinations as compared to that of 2009. You can go through the 2009 Prospectus available at www.cee-kerala.org to know the pattern of 2009.

i am doing my B.Sc botany(1st year) now. i repeated kerala medical entrance exam last year(2009) . my rank was 9859.will it be wise if i try for it once more this year??do i have enough time for preparation now?

To get admission to MBBS in Govt Medical College or Govt seats in Private SF Colleges you need to have a rank around 1200 at least, if you do not have any reservation, as per the trends of this year. At present your rank is near to 9900. Please examine if you would be able to reach the target of 1200 with the time left now for preparation. It seems a bit difficult, but if you have the confidence you can attempt. But in the process you will have to keep aside your degree classes, exams etc.

BA courses in English/Malayalam/Hindi Language and Literature, History, Economics, Politis, Philosophy, Psychology etc; B.Sc Courses in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry. Botany., Zoology etc are the common courses in Arts & science Colleges. Many colleges have B.Com also. You can apply to the college after the Plus Two results are declared.

In the second allotment i was allotted the management seat of CEK Kidangoor.But in third allotment i was allotted a merit seat at UKP. since the allotment process are over please let me know how and when the extra amount will be refunded??

Admissions for 2009 close on 31st October. Only after that the formalities related to settlement of fees will be taken up. You can expect the refund from the office of the CEE by November end/December.
I am completed ( not passed ) B.Com Course from MG University 3year before and some subject are failed. so now i want to continue my graduation. for this, what is the procedure . please reply to my E Mail adress.

Usually admissions to NITs are based on the rank in AIEEE conducted by CBSE. The next exam is to be held on 25th April 2010 (Sunday). This is the only information available now. Regarding 2009 admissions you can see the link http://aieee.nic.in/ccb2009/welcome.htm
