Can I know about any institutions for engineering under Indian army,similar to AFMC in medicine.I'm now doing +2...Is there any separate entrance for that...I wish to do my engineering in such an institution and afterwards join the army...also I prefer Computer Science stream..

The only institution known to us offering engineering is Army Institute of Technology, Pune. But either your father or mother need to have served in the Army already to secure admission there . If that is not the case, then you are not eligible. If there are any other engineering college in the Army, only wards of Army personnel will be allowed to take admission in them. So you will have to look elsewhere for admissions. If you want to enter the Army, you can do so by the technical line. For that, you need to keep your eyes open on the newspapers and this portal. In Nano technology there are engg streams as well as regular science streams. In Kerala at present no engg college except NIT Calicut has this course. In science stream Amrita offers Nano course.

List out your tastes and state in which direction you want to go (Take an MBA or like that). Find out a few courses and you may check with us whether it's worth pursuing

This is my third attempt as i did not get an answer tillthis time.I ,presently employed as HSST in English in a Govt HSS,am a post graduate in English Language & Literature. I have accomplished NET in 2000.Presently,I wish to do Pat-time PhD in a deemed university in Tamilnadu.I also wish to know of the self-financing colleges offering Part-time PhD & Tamilnadu.Please do give me an exact answer this time

Your ambition of doing part-time PhD in a deemed university is currently untimely. The Union HRD Ministry under the new Minister Kapil Sibal is reviewing the performance and the position of the deemed varsities. It is to be seen how many of them would come out of this review unscathed. Already they have been advised against using the word 'university' with their names. So wait for a while or go for a state university to acquire your PhD. From our enquiry we haven't so far found any deemed varsity offering part-time PhD in arts subjects. If you are able to get one in TN in your further search, make sure that it is a reputed one and the course has recognition. All the best.
