As per the UGC website, the result of June, UGC-NET is declared generally in the month of October. Similarly December, UGC-NET result is usually declared in the month of April. But this June's results are not yet declared. Result of 2008 June has already been publushed. It is available at http://www.ugc.ac.in/inside/netresult/net.pdf

To get the approval of KPSC the course should have been approved by one of the universities in Kerala. Pl. get in touch with the academic section of the universities for knowing the position.

Sir,
I am a 2008 Btech passout in Electronics & communication Engineering. I got placed in two MNCs(for the post of software Engineer) through campus selection. But for one year they have bot called me spotting the recession. So I joined as lecturer in a self financing Engineering college 2 months back. Nowthat the recession is over I heard that the companies have started calling the hired candidates & I may get my joining within december 2009. Sir, I am in a panic situation now unable to take a decision. Should I opt the MNC software company(Taking into account the unpredictable recesion & the ups & downs in IT industry and that i am a non cs-it candidate) or should I continue with my teaching profession? Which would brighten my future? please help me out sir.

Since you are already in the teaching profession, try to go for MTech and after that an MPhil or PhD. For the timebeing teaching profession is safer compared to software field. If not difficult try to write GATE so that your admission to MTech becomes rather easy. OK?

I am currently doing my final year B.Tech Degree in Computer Science and Engineering at College of Engineering Chengannur, Kerala. As of now, I have an aggregate of 66% and I have applied for GATE 2010. I wish to do M.Tech in Computer Stream itself in an NIT or, if possible, an IIT. How much percentile should I score, normally, to get into an IIT and to an NIT? How much score is needed to achieve that percentile (as from previous years' statistics)? What are other criteria for selection? Will any scholarship be applicable for me too, in NIT or IIT? Normally, what about the course fees and other fees? Kindly suggest a good publishing so that I can buy a guide for GATE 2010 CS?

Hope you have recvd the reply. On our enquiries we could find that you need to have a minimum GATE score of 360 to get CS in an NIT. So you can imagine what would be the situation with IITs. Percentage is no more in GATE results . One more development this time is that MTech is in great demand unlike previous years with more students opting to pursue higher studies.

I am a B.com(computer application) student. I am intersting in computer field. But, i doest study maths in +2 & degree. i have any chance to join MCA. what its scope now?

As per the Admission eligibility for MCA published by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Kerala, the Academic Eligibility for admission to MCA is "A pass in any recognized regular Bachelor’s Degree course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics at 10+2 level OR A pass in any recognized Regular Bachelors Degree course of minimum three years duration in any discipline with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the Subjects OR A pass in BCA Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized University". If you have studied Mathematics/Statistics at Degree level, you become eligible.

You have to secure 50 per cent marks in Mathematics, physics, chemistry at Plus-Two level and pass Plus-Two for joining and doing BTech regular stream . Those who have an Engineering diploma plus a job can secure admision to the distance education BTech of IGNOU. It varies in the case of each university. Visit the wesbites of those universities conducting distance education BTech to find their stipulations.
