It is two years since you discontinued. So it is presumed that you did not complete the course. You may have to take re-admission in the colleges and complete the course first before writing the final examination. Other options before you can be ascertained from the University concerned.

My daughter is doing her Diploma in Electronics in Kannur Poly Tech.Collage.I recently heard that they are going to reduce the seats alloted for Lateral Entry mode selection for the Diploma Holders for B TECH Courses.Is it true? Is there any such move by the authorities concerend? It seems with so many new collages opening in this State the number of seats should be increased instead so that these students can go for their higher education. Kindly confrim this since I did send her to Poly after SSLC to get in to Engineering through Lateral Entry scheme.

sir, i have seen your answer for my question, so is there any hope that i will be able to study in a regular college without losing a year of mine?. also i want to ask that is there any difference between the certificates that provided to private students and regular students? i mean any discrimination.?

You can study in a regular college if you get admission to the college. For that you may have to get the earlier admission cancelled as per the rules of the University, if at all there is any provision for that. You may contact the academic section of the University concerned to know more about this. Generally there is no difference in the value of the Certificates issued to Regular and Distance Education students.

Last date for receipt of applications of NDA Exam at UPSC Office was 16 November 2009 (Monday). As per UPSC site "The candidates are advised in their own interest to ensure that the applications reach the Commission’s Office on or before the closing date. Applications received in the Commission’s Office after the closing date will not be considered."

The number of Courses and Universities have increased many fold over the years. So in order to ascertain the recognition of a particular course by a particular University, it is better to contact the academic section of the University concerned.
About creamy lair.seen the revised notification,but not clear.
Iam a central govt employee class 3 and wife teacher.our income for 2008-2009 is below 450000 and for 2009-10 is above rs 450000. my son ia repeating for medical 2010.pl intimate whether we belongs to creamy lair or not .ie we are eligible for SEBC concession or not

As per Clause 5.4.2 (a) of the Prospectus for Admission to Professional Degree Courses, Kerala, 2009, income limit for SEBC is based on the annual income for 2007-08. So it has to be concluded that when an application is made in 2008-09 (Applications for 2009 admissions were invited arounf 2/2009), income of the previous year is the criterion. If that be so, when applying in 2009-10, the income of 2008-09 should be applicable. This is the reading we have from available documents. A GO is also mentioned in the Prospectus in this Clause. GO(MS) 304/06/RD dated 28.10.2006. Try to go through this GO to know the details.

My son is studying for 1st year B.TECH in CAPE college(merit seat) which is under CUSAT. Is it possible to change the university(same branch) to calicut next time if there any vacancy arises in any of the govt./aided colleges under calicut university

Provision for Inter-University transfer is given in the second year, subject to availability of vacancies and considering the rank in Entrance. But the change is usually given to identical category of colleges and seats only.
sir, i want to know that if it is possible to shift or be transferred to a regular collge to second semester, as am studying in a private or distance education manner now.

No. This is not possible as the two admissions are independent of each other and also governed by different set of conditions.

Im here to ask u a doubt abt my studies....i've done 3 year diploma in CE from NTTF ....now am working in HCL Infosystems Ltd ..i dont find this job much interesting or useful in future...can u please guide me about anu further studies like ...B Tech or any other courses that can help me to be a good succesfull IT professional ... & also i've done +2 from NIOS open schooling

As a Plus Two qualified and Diploma holder, you have opportuniteis available to this category of students. It ranges from Regular Engineering Courses( based on Diploma/Plus Two) or Lateral Entry (Based on Diploma), regular Arts/Science Courses (Plus Two), Law Courses and similar courses. The job opportunites depend on how you complee the course.
