let me wish you first a happy new year well in advance and also I would like to know that has there any centers by IGNOU in Kerala providing BTech-Mechanical under distant education mode. Will I be able to get lateral entry in to IGNOU BTech if I am a Diploma holder with grand Govt experiences. How IGNOU is conducting their conduct class for BTech. Kindly,answer please.

No, absolutely no.
My daughters place of birth is Bombay but school studies are entirely in Kerala. In the birth ceritificate and SSLC book also ,it is Bombay. While applying for Kerala Entrance, which I have to write Keralite or else ? If so, what are the certificates to be attached ? Urgent reply is awaited as the last date is nearby

If your child can produce a certificate in the Application form showing her school studies in Kerala from Class 8 to Class 12, that would be enogh to get Keralite status. It comes undr item 13 in the application. This is one possible certificate that your child can give for getting Keralite status. You can also give other certificates. Please see Page 89 of the Prospectus to know more about this.

To figure in the rank list you need to get 10 marks in each paper of the Medical Entrance. In addition, If you are to be considered for MBBS/BDS, you have to get 50% marks in the Medical Entrance.
I'm applying for the Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam. I belong to a forward Hindu caste and my parent has a annual salary exceeding Rs. 2 lakhs. I believe, I'am entitled of no reservations, so is it necessary to produce an income certificate along with my application?

Also, another question for my friend. He belongs to the Muslim religion and his parent has a business and pays income tax. Is he entitled for any concession/reservations as such regarding his income? So is it necessary for him to produce the income certificate as well?

Please go through Clause 7.5.5 of the Prospectus, on page 22. If you are interested in that you may give the income certificate in the form even if you do not have any reservation benefit. This is not compulsory.

Regarding the case of your friend, payment of Income Tax is not the criterion for SEBC reservation. If the candidate belongs to Muslim Community and if he/she can produce the Income certifcate from the Village Office showing an annual family income not exceeding Rs.4,50,000/- he/she is eligible for SEBC reservation. Community and Income certificates have to be obtained in the form itself.
My daughter appered in the KEAM-2009 exam. Now she is studying for engineering.She qulified in the exam but did not get allotment in the Govt. quota due to the poor ranking.Could you please give me some clarification about the following? Can she join in any Private Med. college in Keral in management quota this year with KEAM2009? Also what branch of study will be good for a studet who isgood in Biology but poor in maths? The result of KEAM 2009 is not applicable for 2010. If you are interested in admission of your child this year, she will have to be eligible as per this year's criteria. If the child is poor in Mathematics, Engineering may not suit her. She can go for Medical or Agriculture courses, depending on her aptitude.
Please give me a specific answer for the question I had posted.I had mailed in the address given in the AIEEE 2010 website.But received no answer yet.They seems to be irresponsible.I wanted to register through Online for AIEEE 2010.As I am from UAE, the pincode does not work as states (Dubai,Sharjah..etc) in UAE does not have a pincode.Also, as you told keeping that PINCODE space blank doesn't seems to work.No correct instruction is given for students studying abroad in AIEEE 2010 website.If you could provide me the correct way to apply online,It would be a great help for students like us (for student from UAE)...Thanks Regrds....Pooja.

Will the authorities of that school give the certificate of your studies in Kerala from Class VIII to XII? If so there should not be any problem.

It depends on various factors including your category, branch you are looking for etc.. The trends of 2009 according to various catgories and branches can be known by going through the last ranks on closing of admissions for the year and published at www.cee-kerala.org. The pattern need not repeat in another year. Try to get a good rank. As the rank comes down, the branch of your choice may not be obtained.
Are the courses of Mahatma Gandhi University's Distance Education courses(Off-campus courses) recognized by Distance Education Council(DEC)? Is it recognized by UGC? Does IGNOU recognize these courses?
