It must be an error in the matter. The two sentences are inconsistent. Usaully, the cut off date is fixed as 31st of December of the year of admission. So those who complete 17 years by 31 December 2010 should be eligible. Try to send a message to the Council at vciinfo@vhub.nic.in or get in touch with the Telephone No.011- 26184149 of VCI between 10.00 A.M. to 12.00 Noon & 2.00 P.M. to 4.00 P.M. to get a clarification.

The two are different streams and there are enough opportunities for candidates who excel. You can be a pilot or an aircraft maintenance engineer

AMIE stands for Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers. The Institution of Engineers (India) conducts an examination for Associate Membership. This examination is considered to be on par with B.E/B.Tech as an eligibility qualification to write competitive examinations like the Civil Services, Indian Engineering Services and for certain employment in government sector. The exam has 2 sections, Section A and Section B. Section A is common for all candidates Under Section B, a particular discipline of engineering has to be chosen from among the streams offered. You are also eligible to write GATE for admission to PG Courses in Engineering.

Entrance Exam for AIIMS is scheduled for June 1, 2010. The Notification has not come yet. Notification of JIPMER also has not come yet.

We don't recommend schools in this regard. You will have to make enquiries with universities or colleges or those passed out in the previous years or with lecturers. The admission to good schools depends on the marks you have obtained in the qualifying examination. Make sure which course you want to join, BBA or BBM or BCom. That will make things easy for you.

After BBA and BBM you have limited options like going for MBA whereas after BCom you have a lot of other options like going for MCom, Company Secretaryship , CA , ICWAI etc.

There are 22 Medical Colleges in Kerala itself. So it is not possible to list out all the colleges here. You can get the details of approved Medical Colleges by visiting http://mciindia.org/ and going to the link 'Courses and Colleges'. A state wise, Course wise list will be generated. Try that.
