As per information given at http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/, there is no limit on the number of times a person can take GATE. A GATE score is valid for two years. The Information Brochure available at http://gate.iitkgp.ac.in/gate10/downloads.php also does not say anything about the number of chances.

You have to apply again to the university concerned for appearing in the exam. Approach the academic section or pareeksha bhavan of the university where you appeared for the pre-degree exam, to know the details.
I am doing my final year diploma in Automobile Engineering. I wish to make an automobile engineer out of myself. Please educate me on the prospects of the course as well as the best institutes that offer the course. Thanks a lot in advance !

Automobile Industry has been growing fast over the last few years and hence Automobile Engineers are needed in the industry. If you are interested, you can take up B.Tech Automobile Engg after your Diploma, through Lateral Entry Scheme. You can go through the site www.cee-kerala.org and refer to the Prospectus of 2010 for KEAM and see the list of Institutes in Kerala offering B.Tech in Automobile Engineering.

You need not think for options in this regard. The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi is the best available option around. It is a university recongnised by UNESCO and in a large number of countries. It has centres overseas also. For details visit www.ignou.ac.in

There are a number of colleges in Kerala which offer BCom. So, pl.let us know the district where you are interested.

You cannot do it as a correspondence course. You have to join any of the co-operative training colleges run by Kerala Government. There are around 10 colleges across Kerala and the headquarters is in Trivandrum
