First of all you must identify what you mean by 'knowledge' here. Is it just information on a topic or s deep study of a topic. A Website may help you to improve your knowledge in the sense that it can provide information on some matter. You cannot become a master of a subject by just using the websites. Reading can improve your knowledge. Even the reading of newspapers can improve your knowledge. So identify your requirement and then try to find out how it can be accomplished. OK?

As per Clause 2.4 of the Notification given at http://cbse.nic.in/circulars/cir40-2009.pdf, "The Board(means CBSE) has decided to introduce the above grading scheme (as given in the notification) at Secondary level for classes IX & X from the current academic year 2009-10. Accordingly, the “Statement of Subject wise Performance” to be issued by the Board w.e.f. the Class X Examination 2010 will have only grades." Please see the link given above for details.

Ans.: No, the certificate issued by the Board will carry only grades.

I have done B.Tech in Industrial Engineering from College of Engg., Trivandrum (2008 Pass-out). I'd like to pursue for a post graduate course. Please let me know how good is this institute and whether is it recognised by the industry and corporates as well as government bodies ?

'Indian Staistical Institute', Kolkata (popularly called ISI ) is a very reputed institution of National Importance. It was founded by the legendary statistician Dr. P C Mahalnobis in the year 1931. To get admission there is not easy. If you get admission you will be lucky enough atleast to be known as one who have studied there. Go ahead. Wish you all the Best.

I completed 12th standard from a cbse school last year. because the results were bad than i expected, i applied for improvement in 5 subjects. Now, as i am not well prepared for 2 subjects and concentrated on the other 3 subjects, i want to know if there is any problem not appearing for 2 subjects. also, please let me know how my mark sheet will be if i do not appear for 2 subjects.

If you do not appear for any paper, the old mark would stand. This is the general rule for any improvement exam. It is understood that the CBSE issues only a statement of marks for subsequent appearances. Anyway it is better to get in touch with the authorities of the Institution where you did Plus two to get a clear idea on the matter.
