  • Hi Sir,
Is a Batchelor's degree a mandatory for appearing for UPSC exams, or a direct Post Graduate degree will also be eligible ? I'd completed my Diploma and then had directly completed MBA from Sikkim Manipal Univ. I'd already posted this query but the answer was merely generic and did not specifically answer to the point. Request you to kindly answer whether a direct PG degree would be considered as eligibility or not. I'd already referred UPSC websites and is still looking for a clarity on this.
    Please assist,
    Many thanks,
    Sandeep

  • Hi,
I've completed my 3 Year Diploma (regular) in Electronics. Then during my 7Yrs of IT Job, I had parallelly completed MBA (IT) from Sikkim Manipal University (Distance Education), which is recognized by UGC. I'm now seriously aspiring for Civil Services. I read in some portals that, a Bachelor's Degree is mandatory to appear for Civil Services (IAS/IPS) exam, despite of me having an MBA.
I tried reachig the UPSC Facilitation Counter through 23385271, 23381125, 23098543, but had no response. It would be of immense help if you could guide/advise on my eligibility. Also please let me know the communication address with which I can get to UPSC to clarify the same.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sandeep

  • Dear Sir,
We had taken educational loan for b tech cource of our son. pune. Rs 2.25 lacs for 5th,6th &7th semester, and is supposed to take for last and 8th semester .we are paying interest on the said loan regularly, and also given second charge on our flat aprx value 25 lacs.house loan pending rs 1.45 lacs as on date.As per the rule of YESHWANT RAO CHAVAN OPEN UNIVERSITY,NASIK,IF THE CANDIDATE IS NOT CLEARING ANY PAPER OF 4TH SEMESTER,HE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CLASS FOR 8TH SEMESTER,AND WILL BE DEBARRED FOR 1 YEAR. Unfortunately our son has to clear 1 paper of 4th semester, result of which is expected shortly(rest all semester paper till 6th cleared)if he is not clearing the said paper and college is asking to wait 1 further year to continue 8th semester class ,what will be the stand of bank on educational loan .If he is clearing the paper we have to take .75 lacs to pay the semester fee of .89lacs.or else
will the bank wait till he completes the course,or they will ask us to repay the loan.kindly advise as the result is expected in this week.
    thanks and regards
    Mohan
