Sir,
My brother has written the kerala engineering exam this year, i would like to clear one doubt related to the annual income, actually i am unmarried and our annual income including hra is 4.6 lacs , somebody told HRA will not be included in the annual income. Please clarify my doubt so that he can be below 4.5 lacs so that he will be eligible for MU reservation.

HRA won't be taken into account for calculating the annual income. So cool down. All the best.

We won't advise you to waste one year by repeating. What is the guarantee that he can achieve a better position next year? If the exam is still more difficult what can be done? Apart from that one thing you have to consider is the risk of your son's health at the day of entrance exam next year. If a fever disturbs him it will be a shock , you know. So better avoid such risks and accept this year's result as the one which is destined for him. Better choose other course which suits him, if he does not get medicine.

Last year's ranks will be put in the Health ministry's website as well as this portal once the main results are announced and the admission counselling schedule is published. Wait till then.
Iam interested go for civil service. My kerala engineering entrance score is 444.Should I go for engineering or go for a science degree. Pls reply

You can do both. It is upto you. As per last year records, the rank for this mark was below 800, which is of course a good rank for engg. Take a good branch in a good college and after BTech try for civil service. All the best.

As far as biotechnology is concerned BSc is better than BTech since it is a research oriented subject having vast scope and potential.

No. In 2010 only the ranks in the entrance exam will be taken into account. The proposal to take plus two marks also for fixation of rank is meant for 2011, if implemented. OK ?
