My daughter has scored 820 marks in kerala medical entrance 2010 and as per the rank check provided in your site she may get a rank of 289. Please tell me an expert opinion on the medical entrance exam of this year. Was it more difficult or easy when compared to the year 2009? What general opinion we can make on the basis of the performance of students?

There has not been any assesement by us on the standard of the exams this year. But there are reports that the exams were easier this year compared to that of 2009 , which need not be correct. If the exams were easier this year, the rank position for a mark as comared to that of 2009 may come down. If it was more tough, the reverse would happen. Be optimistic any way. .

The admission details for this year including fee structure are yet to be announced. Admissions in Govt quota seats should entitle you for KPCR benefits, it is understood. However, make enquiry with the SC/ST Development Department.

You should be proud to be girl ! All courses are good for girls. But generally, girls keep away from courses like Mechanical Engg. This has been changing in the recent past. Identify your aptitude and choose the branch.

There are certain seats reserved for outside state candidates details of which will be given in the Prospectus. Then there are some reciprocal quota seats for Keralites for which you have to get a KEAM rank.
