Identify your taste. The main streams will be Science, Humanitites and Commerce. Depending in your interest in Science/Non-Science subjects, narrow your decision to the first or to the last two. If choosing the first, Depending on your taste for Maths/Biology decide on the combination in the Science stream. If not, if you have interest in Mathematics, choose the Commerce group. This is one way of doing it. Also read the article "After SSLC", at

IN ENGINEERING ENTRANCE MY RANK NO.5790.I PREFER GOVT.COLLEGES IN FIRST OPTION.BUT ON LATER AFTER 1ST OR 2ND ALLOTTMENT CAN I BRING PRIORITY FOR A SELF FINANCING COLLEGE IF IT IS REQUIRED
Posted by abhijith.p, ATHAVANAD On 19.05.2010
View Answer
Priority has to be decided and registered at the time of option registration. Options cannot be registered or added subsequently except for new ones. If you want to be considered for all Government College for all courses and then only for courses in Self financing Colleges, all your govt college options should have higher priority than the Self financing college options. For example, if you can register 50 options for Govt Collges, and 60 for Self financing, then give option nos 1 to 50 for Govt College options and then 51 to 110 for SF options. More details will appear in this portal at the time of Registration of options.
