You have not mentioned the sub category under SEBC. to assess the chances.

You may not become eligible for fee concession if allotted under Management seats. But some Colleges offer freeships under Management quota. Please enquire anout that in the college. Anyway it is better to get in touch with the SC ST Development Department office in Kannur to get the full details.

Last year this rank had got allotment for EC and ME in Govt supported SF Engg Colleges under Govt quota.
i have got state rank of 550 and general category rank of 350 in aieee 2010.do i have a chance to get into NIT calicut in any branch??also my all india rank is 21,405 and general category rank is 17,040.what are my chances in other near by NIT's???

Production Engineering in Mechanical stream aims at optimum co-ordination between manufacturing processes, plant , manpower and managerial policies with the objective of having maximum productivity with most economical input of capital Resources. Production engineers are concerned with increasing of production by making use of suitable technology, deriving right design, choosing right materials and implementing appropriate procedures. Engineers are employed mainly in manufacturing units of companies belonging to a wide range of industries. Job avenues exist in industries both in the country and outside.

Chemical engineering deals with the application of physical science with mathematics, to the process of converting raw materials or chemicals into more useful or valuable forms. In addition to producing useful materials, chemical engineering is also concerned with pioneering valuable new materials and techniques, an important form of research and development. Chemical engineering largely involves the design and maintenance of chemical processes for large-scale manufacture. Opportunities are available in chemical process and petrochemical industries, pharmaceutical, health care, pulp and paper; food processing, polymer, biotechnology, environmental health, safety industries, chemical or fertilizer plants, petroleum refineries, plastics and yarn manufacturing companies, food and mineral processing industries etc.

Last year, those with this rank under EZ category got EI in Govt Controlled SF Engg Colleges. And also for all courses you have mentioned, in Private SF Engg Colleges.
