Food technology B Tech Programmes are offered at Kelappaji College of Agricultural Engineering & TEchnology, Thavanur under Kerala Agricultural University, College of Food Technology, under Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University; and School of Ocean Engineering and Underwater Technology, Panagad under Kerala University of Fisheires and Ocean Studies. Admission to the seats is based on the Engineering Entrance Examination conducted by CEE Kerala and the seat allotment process.Some Self financing Colleges also offer this course. Here, 50% Govt seats are filled by CEE Kerala allotment. Rest of the seats are filled by the Management.At Kelappaji College, Thavanur, 15 seats are filled through the ICAR AIEE UG conducted by NTA. As per the Information available in the Prospectus 2019-20 at https://www.esic.nic.in/attachments/circularfile/984b20d5091094ef87d247b0155dc336.pdf there are IP quota seats in ESIC Colleges only for MBBS/BDS and not for PG. For PG 50% seats are reserved as All India quota and 50% seats as State quota in Tamil Nadu. This should be the position in the other colleges too.
However, the Notification of MCC for 2020 that appeared in Media gives a different interpretation. It is not known if the policy has changed. The MCC website is also silent on this .. There is lack of clarity.. The same may be ascertained from the seat matrix that would come up at MCC Website as of now there is no seat matrix at MCC website
