SOE is directly run by CUSAT while MDL is an affiliated instiution of CUSAT run by IHRD

Candidates with this All India Rank did not get allotment for any course in SC catgory in 2009 AIEEE allotments. You can verify this by going through the Closing ranks of Kerala students at different institutes under SC category in 2009 at http://ccb.nic.in/ccb2009/aieeecouns09/orcr/StateWiseallot.aspx. Give options and see.

You will be considered for allotment only to options that have been registered by you. If you do not join the college allotted in the last round of allotment you will have to pay penalty as per the prospectus conditions.

This cannot be predicted. Anyhow the admissions there is based on IIT JEE even now.
