Dear Sir,
When my daughter got admitted in LKG her DOB was given wrongly. From second standard she is studying in another CBSE school, there also the wrong DOB was continued. In her X standard certificate also continuing the same DOB. Now we got the original Birth Certificate and the difference is One year less. Now I want to change the DOB in her X Certificate to original. What I have to do for this? Also I heard that there will be no Board Exam for CBSE X standard in the future. Is it possible to change her DOB in her Plus Two registration. Plse advice me.

Query : sir, i am a student of SCT coll of engg: papanamcode,ECE branch student. I was alloted a merit seat last year.I had to pay 25000 last year.I have a confusion about how much i have to pay for this year.As the remittance date is coming near,pls clarify my doubt whether i have to pay 25000 or 15000 rupees???
Answer: You will have to pay only 15000/- as fee this year as the fee of 2009 admissions have been reduced to 20000/-.The excess paid last year is to be adjusted this year. Best Regards

i asked abt this to the principal.But he said tht there is no reduction in fees in SCT college of engg:.and fees reduction is only in CAPE engineering colleges.so he asked us to pay Rs:25000.I humbly request mathrubhumi education experts to help us in knowing the thruth about the promise given by the minister in regard to this issue.Since all of us were eagerly waiting for the promised fee reduction.since we have to pay fees on coming monday,please help us for the same..

Please see the Govt order in this regard at the link http://www.cee.kerala.gov.in/keam/main/GO_Engg.pdf and Clsue 22 there. Take a print out of it and submit it to the pricipal. If the authrorities do not give you the benefit, represent the case to the Princiapl first and then to the Government. OK.

Please see the provisionr elated to change of date of birth in Certificates issued by CBSE. http://www.cbse.nic.in/examin~1/certification1.htm DOB is included only in the certificate issued at Secondary level.

Except course like Mining where girls are not admitted, all courses are good for girls if you have interest in them.

It can be either way, Trial allotments are only indicators and need not materialise in the actual allotment as more optiosn are likely to be regsitered based on that. Anyway it is just a few days away. Wait and see. Good luck!

i got rank 9030 in KEAM 2010 and 94 in SC category. I'm alloted to EC in TKM in Trial.. Also I got rank 3994 in CAT 2010,CUSAT and 12 in SC Category. Is there any chance for me to be alloted in CET.. If so, which is better CUSAT (school of engineering, EC), CET(EC), TKM(EC) ??
What is scope of 5 year integrated M.Sc in photonics(in CUSAT) ??

Candidates with this rank did not get allotment for EC in TVE in 2009 under SC category. CET may be a better choice compared to CUSAT if you have an eye on campus placements.

The science includes light emission, transmission, deflection, amplification and detection by optical components and instruments, lasers and other light sources, fibre optics, electro-optical instrumentation, related hardware and electronics, and sophisticated systems. The range of applications of photonics extends from energy generation to detection to communications and information processing.

Students with degrees in optics or photonics have job opportunities in national research laboratories and industries such as telecommunications, nanotechnology, lasers, optical materials, radiation treatment, and medical imaging.
Which is better for electronics and communications engineering - CUSAT OR college of engineering, chengannur (CHN) (disregarding fees)?

CUSAT has two colleges one at Trikkakkara and the other at Pulinkunnu.
You may not prefer Pulinkunnu Cusat campus. The other two (Cusat Thrikkakara and IHRD, Chegannur) are more or less the same in terms of standards.
