May be difficult with this rank as per the trends of 2009.
Sir, thanks for ur reply for my previous question. can u pls explain job opportunites of mech and civil? Also how experience helps to succeed in these fields? About the payscale of both fields? Among students mech is highly chosen. Thats why i am totally confused. Pls reply soon. Only few hours left to finalise my options..

Mechanical engineers work in many industries focusing on production operations in manufacturing, maintenance and upkeep of machinery, and design of machine parts. In many industries mechanical engineers function as production managers.

Civil engineers can find jobs in public works, irrigation, water supply, and public health engineering departments of governments, hydroelectric projects, railways, housing boards, city development authorities, and large construction companies. Individuals may run consultancy or design offices or construction services. B

oth categories now a days get jobs in IT sector also.

Pay scales depend on the Instiuttion where you get the job. The general preference has been for Mech and the work environement may be an influencing factor for that.
irrespective of placements, which is better School of Engineering,CUSAT or CET/TKM for electronics and communications considering faculties,lab, teaching standard etc..

If the allotment is in CET or TKM, you may not have to pay Liquidated damages if you cancel allotments after 4th round to join NIT. Liquidated damges in such cases have to be paid when admissions are cancelled after closing of admissions, If you cacel admissions within the permitted time, no liquidated damage is needed to be paid. As per Clause 12.2.4(a) exemption is there in this regard for those satisfying the conditions specified in the clause.
