Be optimistic. That is all what can be said now. Rememebr that the last ranks are that on closing of admissions.

As per trends, if the trends continue as such, allotment for AO in the college refered may not come in the first round. But be optimistic. There can be changes from trial allotments.

my son is waiting for the alotment of engineering in keam rank is 10088,in second trial alotment he is in self finance private engineering college,i like to know that if he is waiting for higher option what he will do , i mean he have to pay the fees in the first aloted colleges and get admited in the said college or have to wait until the second or third alotment,would you please to clear my doubts

If the candidate gets an allotment in the first round, the candidate will have to pay the fee and accept the allotment. Then only the candidate will be considered for the next allotment. If fee is not paid, the allotment will be lost and the candidate will not be considerd for further allotments.

I'm a BTech Graduate in Industrial Engg. passed out in 2008. I'm working as a software professional for the last 2 years. Now, I would like to do Higher studies. As my favorite subject is Maths, I would like to do an MS/MSc in Maths. I've heard of JAM test conducted by IITs. How difficult is this test?
Anything wrong in my decision?
What are the employment opportunities one can get after completing the course.

There is nothing wrong in your decision to take up higher studies. Chennai Mathematical Institute offeres different PG Programmes in Mathematics, the details of which can be had from http://www.cmi.ac.in/admissions/ With a PG in Mathematics, you can go for M Phil or directly register for Ph.D. Teaching and research can be taken up after that at College/University level. Details of JAM are available at http://jam.iitm.ac.in/elig.php It is doubtful if BTech candidates can apply for M.Sc through this. Go though the details.

In 2009 candidates with thsi rank got allotment in MG quota for CS at MDL under Govt quota.
Dear Sir,

Eventhough my rank in MU is 1367 for Engg and the lowest rank for 'EC' in 'TCR' college for MU is 2954, why in the allotment list my name is not there?

2954 is the general rank of the candidate and not the catgory position. Your general rank must be lower than 2954.

You do not give option to minority seats. You give option to courses and colleges only. Your eligible reservations will be looked into while making the allotments.
