AIPMT Latest verdict on 19th June 2015
The SC order on an appeal by CBSE asking for 3 months time to reconduct the AIPMT. The court heared the arguments and allowed only two months and asked Board to conduct the exam and declare results before Aug 17,2015.

SC verdict scrapping NEET on 18th July 2013
The Supreme Court on 18th July 2013 scrapped holding of a single common entrance test (NEET) for admission to MBBS, BDS and post-graduate courses in all medical colleges, paving the way for private colleges to conduct their own examination. The order was passed by a three judge bench headed by Chief Justice Altamas Kabir. The CJI's view was shared by Justice Vikramjit Sen but Justice A R Dave disagreed with them and upheld the NEET .

SC Verdict on 18.09.2014 allowing all MCs to admit students
On Sept 18,2014 the Supreme bench of three judges allowed all medical colleges in the country which were denied permission by MCI to admit students this year.

T.M.A.Pai Case 2002
Date of Judgement : 31/10/2002 : According to this judgement, private institutions had a fundamental right to impart education, subject to reasonable restrictions. Unaided institutions had maximum autonomy in the matter of devising tests based on merit, making admissions on rational criteria and fixing fees on the basis of balanced budgets which covered revenue costs plus development fees but no profiteering; and, certainly not capitation and corruption.
